France, Vice-Champion of the Junior Pastry World Championship!

This weekend (19 & 20, January 2019), the Junior French Pastry Champion team, supported by Servair, was elected Vice-Champion of the World at the World Junior Pastry Championships competition!

The Junior World Pastry Championship, a biennial event, is organized by Italian Exhibition Group SpA and takes place in Rimini, Italy at Sigep, a trade fair specializing in pastries, ice cream, chocolates and bread makers from around the world.

In this unique team competition for young recruits of the profession, under 23 years of age, chefs have the opportunity to test their skills and find the inspiration necessary for a successful and challenging career.

The competition is a high-calibre professional event, organized according to the highest and most equitable professional standards.
The theme of the 2019 edition, "FLYING", was to be illustrated in an artistic creation that respected a list of imposed ingredients such as sugar and chocolate.

Congratulations to Aurélien Metayer (21 years old), Joris Vée (22 years old, son of a Servair collaborator) and their coach Frédéric Deville (Meilleur Ouvrier de France and World Pastry Champion) for their career and this 2nd place on the podium, between Italy who wins the title at home and Singapore who comes 3rd.
