Michel Emeyriat appointed Chairman and Managing Director of Servair
On 1st January 2013, Michel Emeyriat, aged 58, took over from Patrick Alexandre as Chairman and Managing Director of Servair, the French leader and world number 3 in the airline catering sector.
Michel Emeyriat trained as a civil engineer at the prestigious École des Mines before moving on to graduate from the École Supérieure des Sciences Economiques et Commerciales (ESSEC) [Higher School of Economic and Business Science]. He joined Air France in 1990 as ground operations management controller. Four years on, he was appointed Economic and Social Director of ground operations Paris. He enjoyed a series of management positions before becoming director of ground operations Orly and Province in 1999 and then Director of the Roissy Hub in 2000. In 2009, Michel Emeyriat became Deputy Managing Director of Air France, in charge of ground handling operations.
I take over at Servair at a very difficult time for the airline sector. My first concern, in conjunction with the company’s people, will be to face up to the economic challenges ahead by ensuring that we focus on the satisfaction of our customers and on sharing with them our values of performance and innovation. I am delighted to be rising to these challenges with the teams here at Servair.
Michel Emeyriat is a member of the Air France Executive Committee.
