Servair Nigeria on the first step at the QSAI Awards 2016

gategroup member Servair, French and African market leader in airline catering and logistics, is proud to announce that Servair Nigeria has been granted with the Worldwide Platinum Award and the Golden Award for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), at the 2016 Quality & Safety Alliance Inflight Services (QSAI) Awards ceremony.

Each year, the QSAI, an international organisation comprised of airlines and railway operators, gives out QSAI Excellence Awards, which distinguish the best on board catering providers for their level of security and the quality of their food. In total, 10 awards are presented: gold, silver and bronze for each of the 3 regions (the Americas, Asia and Europe, Africa and the Middle East). The Worldwide Platinium Award goes to the entity that obtains the best marks on a global level.

This year, the ceremony took place in Athens (Greece), on the 22nd of February. Over 250 catering units from 80 countries were in the running for this edition, in which Servair Nigeria especially stood out by winning the Golden Award for the EMEA zone as well as the Worldwide Platinum Award.

Three consecutive years of rewards

It’s the third year in a row that the Servair Nigeria team’s work has been recognised and rewarded at the QSAI Awards. After having won the bronze QSAI Award in 2014 and 2015, Servair Nigeria now takes first place at the global and regional level, with the support of its prestigious customers: Air France, KLM and Virgin Atlantic.

« It is with great pride that we receive this award, not only for Servair Nigeria but also for the entire Servair and gategroup teams throughout the world. It’s also the recognition of the hard work that takes place every day in our centres to honour our commitment to provide our customers with the highest level of quality and food hygiene » declared  Michel Emeyriat, chairman of the South Europe and Africa Region of gategroup.
