Servair opens a new catering unit in São Paulo, Brazil

Visuel Servair Sao PauloServair, 3rd worldwide in airline catering and logistics, announces the opening of a new airline catering unit at the Guarulhos International Airport serving São Paulo, Brazil. This catering unit will provide airline catering services under the Flying Food Servair Brazil brand.

As the majority shareholder of Flying Food Servair Brazil, Servair manages this catering unit, strategically located near the Guarulhos International Airport runways. Occupying premises of 3,300m2 and fitted with the very latest equipment, the unit has been configured and built by Servair. It was organised to optimise the production area and achieve a daily capacity of 15,000 meals. It will have the distinct advantage of Servair culinary, technical and logistics expertise, also benefitting from a fleet of 10 new lorries capable of servicing any type of aircraft.

This new location allows Servair to gain a foothold in a hub that is experiencing rapid economic growth, as Guarulhos International in São Paulo is one of the major airports serving Brazil (alongside Rio) and the South American continent. The unit will also have the means to cater for flights departing Viracopos International Airport in Campinas.

Servair is thus meeting customer expectations, particularly those of international airlines, looking for high quality catering solutions in a market offering strong growth opportunities for air transport. Creation of this new catering unit now forms an integral part of its international expansion strategy. ”We are very pleased to be opening this new catering unit and quite proud to be providing our customers in central Brazil and the South American market with the best Servair has to offer. We are thrilled that Gol, Royal Air Maroc and Cubana have all put their trust in us. We will keep our promise to provide our expertise wherever they require it, take great care of their passengers and deliver the high quality, healthy and delicious food for which we’re known. We will make all the food from around the world available, whatever their requirements” says Hervé Paris, Executive Vice President, Americas and Caribbean with Servair.
