Servair selected by Hainan Airlines to provide on-board catering for its Paris to Xi’An flight

Servair, French market leader and the fourth largest company worldwide in airline catering and logistics, has been chosen by Chinese airline Hainan Airlines to provide on-board catering for its Paris-Xi’An route for the next 3 years.

Hainan Airlines, 5-star rating in the Skytrax ranking for the past 6 years, has chosen to entrust Servair with the catering for its Paris-Xi'An route. This new 3-year contract started on 4 September.

The flight, operated by an Airbus A330-200 (278 press-release-servair_hainan_en_vfseats including 18 business class), has a completely new catering offer, part of Hainan Airlines' "Exclusive Restaurant on Board" program. The new menu features signature meals from Mathieu Viannay, chef of La Mère Brazier in Lyon (2 stars in the Michelin Guide), developed in collaboration with the Servair chefs.
The offer, unveiled in August in Beijing, is part of a deliberate strategy from the Chinese airline to provide a new gastronomic experience on board its flights. Menus are now signed by Michelin Guide starred chefs on flights from Paris, Berlin and Brussels, to the delight of passengers.

Hainan Airlines is thus raising the quality of its services even further, in line with its five-star Skytrax rating. The new partnership with Servair is very much part of this overall strategy.

"This new partnership is a source of real pride for us. Hainan Airlines is a prestigious company, with a very high quality offer. For all our teams, assisting them in introducing this new gastronomic offer is both an ambitious challenge and true recognition of our know-how. All our passion is behind this new challenge," said Michel Emeyriat, CEO of Servair.
