#COP21 Servair is doing its part too: GREENHOUSE GAS EMISSIONS ASSESSMENTS

By committing to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, we are joining in the collective effort to protect the atmosphere.

Servair has conducted greenhouse gas emissions assessments for its companies since 2010.
These assessments allow us to measure how much carbon dioxide is emitted by our activities (excluding raw materials and contractors).
Measures aimed at reducing these greenhouse gas emissions are then implemented.

Measures that Servair has implemented to date:

  • Checks on refrigeration service providers to reduce leaks of refrigerant fluid with high global warming potential (such as hydrofluorocarbons)

  • Optimisation of the amount of dry ice (solid CO2) loaded on-board based on outside temperature

Through these measures and the efforts of our staff, our main areas of business now represent:

  • Preparing an airline meal: 530g CO2 eq.

  • Cleaning an aeroplane: 6.5kg CO2 eq.
