Servair, partner of “L’Assiette Gourm’hand 2019”

For the 15th consecutive year, Servair supported "L'Assiette Gourm'hand" culinary competition, wich the 2019 edition took place on October 5 at the Lycée Professionnel Privé Sainte-Marie de Bailleul.

"L'Assiette Gourm'hand", the only culinary competition dedicated to professionals with a disability, has only one goal: to promote the work of disabled cooks and their inclusion in kitchens.

This year, the 16 selected pairs (cook and trainer), including for the first time a Russian and a Luxemburgish team, had to prepare a dish in 1h30 around an imposed basket including a piece of rump steak, chocolate, carrots and potatoes.

Chaired by Guillaume Gomez, Chef of the Palais de l'Elysée, the prestigious jury was composed of 28 members, among whom 14 Meilleurs Ouvriers de France, including our Corporate Chef François Adamski, who was familiar with the event but who was going there for the first time under the colours of Servair.

At the end of this beautiful culinary and solidarity day, Sophie Cluzel, Secretary of State for Disabled Persons, joined the jury for the awards ceremony.

As is the tradition of the competition, the first 4 of the podium will be received in 2020 by Mr Emmanuel Macron, President of the Republic, and by Guillaume Gomez for a few days' training in the kitchens of the Palais de l'Élysée.
