servair places responsible procurement at the heart of its Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) strategy. This approach aims to ensure a healthy and safe food offering, whilst respecting the environment and supporting our local suppliers and service providers.
Our responsible initiatives
Support for the local economy
servair prioritises local products in line with its global presence in order to support the local economy whilst reducing its carbon footprint.
By choosing products sourced through short supply chains, we help to revitalise local communities, develop local skills and create sustainable jobs. This approach not only strengthens the national economy, but also preserves the artisanal and industrial skills that are essential to the vitality of our economic fabric.

Responsible fishing
servair is committed to offering seafood and freshwater products that meet strict criteria, whilst respecting biodiversity. We take care not to compromise the reproductive capacity of species, to avoid endangered species and to preserve fragile ecosystems. servair prioritises selective fishing methods to minimise by-catch and guarantees full traceability, from the catch area to the point of sale.

100% of our buyers have been trained
servair is committed to ensuring a high standard of expertise and ethical conduct through the ongoing training of its teams. All our procurement staff are ISO 20400-certified by AFNOR, a mark of quality and mastery of best practice in responsible procurement. Furthermore, all our teams are trained in respecting human rights throughout the value chain by FocusRight, an NGO specialising in human rights. This approach ensures a rigorous selection of suppliers and the optimal integration of social and environmental criteria into purchasing decisions, in line with the company’s ESG commitments.

Our Responsible Procurement Policy
At servair, we build long-term relationships with our suppliers and incorporate social and environmental criteria into our specifications.
We encourage responsible practices, such as reducing food waste, ethical production and compliance with quality standards. We prioritise partners who share our values and are committed to working alongside us to optimise resources, strengthen the resilience of our value chain and minimise our environmental impact.

Our responsible sourcing from Paris

In addition, we promote the preservation of traditional skills and biodiversity through the use of recognised certification schemes:
24%
of our certified dairy and egg products
77%
of our seafood products carry the label
At the same time, we are committed to making ethical practices more widespread in our milk procurement:
100%
of our supplies of carton-pack milk are sourced from “C’est qui le Patron”. This milk, which is of French origin, guarantees producers a price per litre that enables them to make a decent living.
