Acting for Life is a French international solidarity organisation that has been working for 50 years to develop vulnerable populations and territories in West Africa and Latin America.
This association has been driven by a single objective since 1973: ‘life, not survival’. And to achieve this, Acting for Life:
- Enables vulnerable populations to live with dignity and improve their living conditions in the long term
- Reduces poverty and exclusion, especially in rural areas
- Builds resilience to hazards (climatic, economic and geopolitical)
- Supports access to the economy and to local, sustainable food for young people, families and women in particular
- Enhances the value of economic sectors while preserving natural ecosystems
- Promotes social and economic inclusion, education and vocational training, and health through food.
