Secours Populaire brought together nearly 40,000 children from all over France for an exceptional day at the Champ-de-Mars. Entertainment, concerts, and sports activities punctuated the event, made possible thanks to the involvement of thousands of volunteers and the support of partners such as Servair.
To mark its 80th anniversary, Secours Populaire organised a big celebration on Wednesday 20 August, with solidarity as its theme. The event, aimed at children who had not been able to go on holiday, brought together nearly 40,000 young people from all over France to enjoy activities and lots of surprises.
For the occasion, Secours Populaire approached Servair, who responded by donating food for the children and volunteers to enjoy during their afternoon snack: chocolate desserts, madeleines and compotes, for a moment of conviviality shared on the Champ-de-Mars.
A total of 160 events punctuated this exceptional day, spread across the 20 hectares of the site: concerts by Vitaa, Bigflo & Oli and many others, sporting activities across 26 disciplines, cultural visits in the morning, not to mention the remarkable involvement of 10,000 volunteers.
We are proud to have contributed to this outpouring of generosity and solidarity, which gave thousands of children an unforgettable day in the heart of Paris.
