Air Côte d’Ivoire Chooses Chef Konan Vanessa to Design Menus for Its Abidjan–Paris Flights

NewsCustomerSeptember 2025

As part of the launch of its upcoming direct route between Abidjan and Paris, Air Côte d’Ivoire wanted to highlight Ivorian gastronomy by entrusting the creation of its long-haul menus to local talent. Two chefs, Vanessa Konan and Grâce Emmanuella Houffouet, were selected to compete in a culinary grand finale held at Servair Abidjan.

During this tasting, each presented four signature dishes, designed to enhance the experience in Business and First Class. In front of a jury made up of distinguished guests, the Executive Management of Air Côte d’Ivoire, and Servair representatives, Vanessa Konan stood out thanks to her elegance, creativity, and the refinement of her plates.

A rising star of Ivorian cuisine, she had already distinguished herself as the signature chef for the charity gala of the Children of Africa Foundation, presided over by First Lady Dominique Ouattara, where she cooked alongside multi-Michelin-starred chef Pierre Gagnaire.

Now, she will sign the menus onboard Air Côte d’Ivoire’s new Airbus A330-900 aircraft, configured to welcome 240 passengers in modern comfort, with culinary offerings meeting international standards.

Servair is proud to have hosted this selection at its Abidjan facilities and to support Air Côte d’Ivoire in this historic step, combining culinary expertise with international reach.
